I am becoming extremely fed up with the feature option. It’s discouraging to even try because there’s NO communication about why you don’t get selected. I’m not sitting here saying I need to be selected every single time but I’ve had this app for almost 4 years I think and I have submitted so many photos that I see zero problem with and I have never been lucky enough to be chosen.

What frustrates me is that it feels like a popularity contest. And I feel like I will never measure up to it. I have several friends on my photography socials and recently 2 of them have gotten 2-3 features each. I’m just not understanding what it takes to be selected. I’m also frustrated that there’s no email or response back when you do submit, letting you know why your photos weren’t chosen. Clearly there’s a team of people approving the photos that get approved so what happens to those who submit and hear nothing? Do you not understand how upsetting that can be? Not so much because we didn’t get selected but because we start to think there’s a chance we aren’t good enough to be selected at all. If your going to continue the “Get Featured” part of this app, you should really consider finding a way to make it more inclusive for people like me who have been submitting for years and haven’t gotten a peep out of you. If my work is crap then tell me but if not, how long does one wait to get a turn?

As much as a rejection doesn’t feel good, it would still be helpful to have it explained why my photos weren’t chosen. If there was something about them that didn’t meet the criteria, I would like to know. If there’s something I need to do better, I’d like to know. Because if I’m being honest, I love this app and what it provides, but it’s starting to discourage me. I feel like I’ll never be good enough to get at least one feature and I just don’t understand why.
